This means that the app might be having trouble determining your connection speed. This can happen if your connection is unstable, even if it is a high-speed connection. You can test this by exiting the app and performing an internet connection test (Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Test). If the download speed test fails, then your PlayStation® is unable to send this information to the app. To resolve this issue, you’ll need to check the settings on your router, your modem, and your PlayStation®.
First, try connecting your PlayStation® directly to your modem. If videos play, then continue below to see if this resolves the issue with your router:
- Connect your PlayStation® directly to your router with an Ethernet cable
- Forward the necessary ports for the PS4™ by visiting https://portforward.com/playstation-4/
- Enable UPnP if your router supports it (please use with caution as this can be a security risk!)
- Reset your router to its factory settings
